                   When you stand in front of the cupboard  wondering what to wear for the weekend party or to a fancy dinner, we always pick up a black dress, a lace dress or a bodycon. We always play by the rules. Wear what comes under the "party wear" category. And finally when we do find that perfect dress and wear our best high heels, we always end up looking similar to the other girls at the event. If you actually look around at a party, it's difficult to find one person who stands out. Everyone is wearing similar clothes, shoes and have a similar hairstyle! We are lost in the wave of high street brands and with that we have also lost the pursuit of finding our style and what we really want to wear. 

                    There is a misconception that anything hand woven or desi can be worn only on few occasions. But Indian wear can be a lot more versatile when we start experimenting. This blue dress is one of the most loved pieces from Dori's collection. I decided to add a little edge to it by adding a sparkling oversized jacket and boots. Fashion can be a lot more interesting when you decide to experiment. I am not asking you to let go of high street brands, but our handlooms are no less either. Why not get the best of both worlds!
