Blushing Blue

When anyone thinks about India, the first thing that comes to their mind are the vibrant colours. We are bright, vibrant and we don't shy away from colours. Whether it is the clothes we wear, the food we eat or the houses we live in. It's a beautiful burst of colours. The colours of Indian textiles are so rich and varied, they have their own beauty, finish and richness which cannot be replicated by power looms. This rich blue colour of the ilkal weave is one of my favourites. As a designer, it is not only a beautiful colour to work with but it also adds another dimension to the design. Even a simple design like this crop top can stand out because of the colour and texture and hence you will see a lot of basic designs in the collection. With this crop top, I tried to add a laid back casual look with ripped light blue jeans and kept the accessories neutral. Handlooms truly can be a lot more versatile once you start having fun with them! So go head and experiment a little..
