Tenable
It is such a pleasure watching someone you have admired for long, grow up and take up a cause which is close to your heart. I have always been a big Harry Potter fan and watching Emma Watson grow up to be such a role model is truly inspiring. Emma recently wore a gown at an high fashion event which was completely made out of recyclable waste. The gown was made out of three different parts which could also be styled and re-worn in different ways. This is not only a huge fashion statement but also speaks volumes about sustainable fashion.
We find it easier to buy clothes which are of less price and even lesser quality as we are sure that it will be a part of our wardrobe only for a little while. And as a result, brands take it upon them to make more quantity for cheaper prices by exploiting the workers in inhumane conditions in the industry. It is not only exploiting humans but also the damage caused to environment in the production process we should be concerned about.
We now have many brands who consciously make beautiful clothes, ethically produced and are kind towards the environment. Conscious buying is what we have to focus on. Buy clothes, even if they are a little highly priced, which are made of classic silhouettes and the ones you are sure of wearing multiple times. We might not be a hollywood star, but we can sure make a difference, one buy at a time.
