Being you.

When Dori's debut collection was released, a lot of women said they really liked the concept and designs but think it's made only for petite women. It took quite a bit to convince them that they are available in all sizes and can be worn according to their comfort. It doesn't matter how old or young we are, we are always finding faults in the way we look. We are either too fat, too thin, too broad, too dark or too pale.We are rarely confident to even try different styles. Even though we really like something we feel it won't suit our body type. There are also quite a number of articles telling you what your body shape is and what to wear and what not to.
As a designer am supposed to tell people what type of silhouettes they are supposed to wear, what colours suits them and what they shouldn't wear. But I always end up telling that if they like it they should just wear it. Of course there are a couple of tricks to enhance your features like wearing vertical stripes to look slimmer or wear colours that will complement your skin tone; but don't shy away from trying new things. Pick up that pallazzo pants which you feel you are too short to carry it off. Try that bright red lipstick. You might not be confident in the beginning but eventually you will be. Find your style. Find yourself in it.
