Ethic Attic

Organic. Sustainable. Fair trade.

When the lovely founders of Ethic attic approached me to design their first collection, it struck all the right chords. The entire collection is made of fair trade organic cotton. Organic fabrics are made from fibres which are grown without using any chemical fertilisers or pesticides. Less CO2 emission and considerably less water consumption. They are not only friendlier to the skin but also gentle to the environment. This was our first time working with organic fabrics and we were excited to say the least. The entire collection includes contemporary silhouettes made from Organic cotton, eri silk and Lotus fabric. Working with these fabrics were a delight. They are perfect for a designer to experiment with. They have an amazing feel and texture. The lotus fabric, which is a new innovation in the textile industry, felt like luxury. Made from the stem of the flower, they have a beautiful texture and is amazing against the skin.

We decided to keep the collection minimal. With just white and greys as our colour theme and geometric block prints as our medium, this collection is minimal but with a hint of hidden detailing. Comprising of separates, the designs are made keeping the sustainability as a key element. Classic silhouettes, fair trade organic cotton and luxurious lotus, what is not to love!

The collection is now available for sale on their website and we would love to hear from you.
